How is the process of selecting journals for indexing in the LILACS database (LILACS Brazil collection)?
26 de April de 2024The journal selection process for the LILACS Brazil collection is based on criteria for selection and permanence of LILACS Brazil journals. Journals submitted for evaluation undergo analyses of format and standardization, endogeneity (geographical and institutional distribution of the editorial committee and authors), as well as content analysis by area specialists. Journals must have at least 50% original articles to be considered for selection and must adhere to their publishing schedule.
This process is coordinated by BIREME/PAHO/WHO as one of the activities outlined in the Cooperation Agreement with the Brazilian Ministry of Health, which coordinates the Brazilian Network of Information in Health Sciences.
