What is author affiliation and how should this information be filled in the Personal Author field?
29 de April de 2024Author affiliation indicates the name of the institution with which the author is affiliated for work or study at the time of conducting the research and publishing the document.
The field should be filled in by including the name of the institution and its subdivisions, recorded in hierarchical order from largest to smallest, along with the city and country where the institution is located.
The affiliation should be recorded in full, except in cases where only the acronym (abbreviated form of the institution’s name) is provided. If both versions are present, the full name is preferred.
If the author is affiliated with more than one institution, only the information of the first institutional affiliation presented in the document will be recorded, or preferably the one located in Latin America.
Titles (doctor, master, etc.), positions (professor, head, coordinator, etc.), or the author’s mini-biography should not be included in the Personal Author field.
When there is no information about institutional affiliation or only information such as “doctor,” “master,” or “licensed by,” the field should be filled with the information s.af (=without affiliation).

Affiliation – Institution level 2: Escola Paulista de Medicina
