2. DATA ELEMENT DEFINITION:
Name of the institution responsible for the intellectual content of a document.
3. NOTES:
a) If there is both a personal author and an institutional author, register all authors.
b) Register the name of the institution, initially, in the same form as it appears in the document, respecting the basic rules for standardizing the names of institutional authors, based on AACR2, available in Annex II.
c) When the editorial of a journal is written by the Editorial Committee without specifying the names of the authors, enter the Committee as the institutional author.
Degree of responsibility
a) Register the degree of responsibility, in attribute r:, using one of the following abbreviations:

For special materials, the list of degrees of responsibility can be expanded using the abbreviations used by the Library of Congress, available in Annex VIII.
b) Only one degree of responsibility is registered for each author.
