2. DATA ELEMENT DEFINITION:

Dates during which the conference recorded in the Event Name field took place.

3. NOTES:

a) Record the date in the language of the document, omitting prepositions;

b) Months should be abbreviated according to the abbreviation table found in ANNEX III;

c) The start and end dates of the event should be recorded separated by a hyphen;

d) If there is no specific date for the conference, record the approximate date within brackets and a question mark.
