08 – Electronic Address

 

1. FIELD DESCRIPTION:

Variable size

Essential and repetitive filling

 

2. DATA ELEMENT DEFINITION:

Standardized form of representing different documents, media, and network services on the internet, capable of providing each document with a unique address. (Oxford Languages) Known as URL.

 

3. Notes:

a) It is recommended to copy the URL from the browser and paste it into the u attribute: Electronic address. Avoid typing the URL. Also record the file type (y:), extension (q:), language (i:), and additional information.

b) LILACS will accept documents with full text or with technical-scientific content or discussion that complements the material described in the record. Covers, abstracts, or information that do not specify or represent the document itself will not be accepted.

c) Select the language in the i attribute according to the table in the field. If it is not possible to identify a language, select the Indeterminate option.

d) To enable access to the full text, filling in the electronic address field is mandatory. If the document is not electronic, filling in the Pages for analytics and monographs field is mandatory, and deselect the Validate with LILACS Methodology item.

e) Load the document in cases of: unavailability of the document on the internet, instability of the institution’s server, or constant change of the URL.

 

Important:

a) Observe the legal issues of the documents (copyright and usage license).

b) The integrated management system (FI-ADMIN) is configured to upload files up to 70MB.

c) When the provided document is the full text, the g attribute must be filled by selecting the “Full Text” checkbox.
