2. DEFINITION OF DATA FIELD:

Title of the document in the language and form in which it appears, and title in another language
in case of multilingual publications.

3. NOTES:

a) Enter the title in lowercase letters, following the orthographic rules of the corresponding
language.

b) Always enter the complete form including the subtitles, if present, separated from the title by
colon.

c) If there are multiple titles, record them in the sequence given on the title page of the document, separating them with a period;

d) The title’s version in another language, if present in the document, should be recorded by adding a new title field;

e) Record the language code according to ISO 639:1988 in the attribute i:. If it is not possible to identify a language, select the option “Indeterminate” (abbreviation: i: und);

f) The languages allowed for LILACS are those presented in ANNEX IV.
