Number corresponding to the largest subdivision of a series (periodical or monographic), which may appear under the designation of volume, year, or tome.

3. NOTES:

a) Record the volume in Arabic numerals;

b) Information should be omitted in this field for serial publications that do not include a clear indication of the volume;

c) If the volume consists of more than one number, record the corresponding digit for the first and the corresponding one for the last, separated by a slash (/).
