The journal shall comply with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), the Singapore and Hong Kong Declaration on Integrity in Research. In the Instructions to the Authors, the journal should make its commitment to the observance of these best practices explicit.

It is recommended that the journal adopt and explain in the instructions to the authors an electronic similarity detection program or tool.
